Dr. Jennifer Elemen is an award-winning education leader who designs and facilitates professional learning, creating transformational change for equity, justice and joy. She has a record of improving equitable achievement and outcomes at the local, county, regional and state levels. She has served in roles from youth enrichment program leader to classroom teacher, department chair, teacher educator, coach, lead outreach advisor, coordinator, administrator, grants lead and director; for grades P-12 through higher education with the California Department of Education’s State Literacy Plan Team, the 21st Century California School Leadership Academy (21CSLA) State Center at UC Berkeley, CLEAR AI Initiative, President of the California Council for the Social Studies, as a BeGLAD (Guided Language Acquisition Design) Certified Agency Trainer and consultant. Dr. Elemen presents and writes, cultivating critical digital media and AI literacy, collective efficacy, social design, distributed leadership, and continuous improvement while elevating community and civic engagement, learner voice and agency. She supports schools, districts, institutions of higher education, community partners and organizations collaborating and developing policies and programs, culturally responsive education, deeper learning, innovation, reimagined futures, belonging and wellness.
